Since ancient times, all the different peoples of the world have been inspired by the wonders of nature they encountered. We, at AUROBOREA, get our information there too!
We created three different jewelry sections, celebrating three different natural wonders: the AURORA BOREALIS jewelry section, where you can find handmade gold and silver jewelry with gemstones reminiscent of the dancing wraiths and rippling curtains of the Northern Lights.
Most of the gemstones we use in this section have to be moved in different kinds of light to bring out their full beauty. The kind of gemstones we mean, are for instance moonstone, labradorite, iolite, opal and so on.
Our JUNGLE MOUNTAIN jewelry section, where you can find handmade gold and silver jewelry that will remind you of the dense green canopies of the world's forests and jungles; of the numerous animals living underneath these canopies; of quiet streams and thundering waterfalls, and of dangerous volcanoes.
The gemstones stones in this section are for instance: tiger's eye, sunstone, carnelian, onyx, moss agate, and so on.
And last, but not least there is our OCEAN CAVE jewelry section, where the handmade silver and gold jewelry is adorned with what we call the "water-and-waves" gemstones: for instance lace agate, abalone and paua, lapis, Tanzanite, roze quartz, pearls et cetera.
We will be striving hard to use only natural materials: gemstones and other stones, shells, bone, wood and so on. Therefore, we will not be using new crystal,(CZ or Svarovski) but recycled, "vintage" or handmade glass and our unique carefully designed artisan handmade jewellery will be made with genuine, lovingly selected and unique gemstones. Our pieces of jewelry will, more often than not, be quite a-symmetrical too.
